The best time to visit is from 15th October to 30th June. Since there are limited entries for each zone, it is recommended to book in advance, especially during peak season, to avoid any inconvenience.
It is also advised to book your safari at least 90 days early to have a better chance of getting a spot in the core zone.
Types of Safari
A jeep safari can take up to 6 people + 2 children and is available in the morning and evening. Usually, people book the whole jeep, but sometimes you can book just one seat. If you book a single seat, you will have to reach the safari gate yourself, as pick-up from your resort is not included. If fewer than 6 people book single seats, the total cost of the jeep is shared equally among all passengers.
Tatkal safari is a last-minute booking option available in premium zones. It depends on cancellations, so the number of vehicles is not fixed. Booking opens every day at 5:00 PM for the next day's safaris. It costs more than regular safaris. This is a good option if you plan your trip at the last moment, but availability is limited.
This safari lasts for the whole day and allows you to visit all zones of Pench National Park. It is more expensive because it gives you the freedom to explore any zone you want. It is well-organized and ideal for people who want a complete and private experience. Though costly, it offers good value for money.

Day permits are issued instantly during monsoon days. During the Jeep Safari ride, you can see wild animals in their natural environment. | In case of any unexpected situation (fire, flood, etc.), the scheduled safari can be changed on the concerned authority’s (Maharashtra/Madhya Pradesh Forest Department) orders. |

| Afternoon safari on the Madhya Pradesh side of Pench remains closed every Wednesday. Safaris are not conducted on the days of Holi and Diwali. On the Maharashtra side, the Khursapur gate is closed on Tuesdays, the Sillari gate on Wednesdays, and the Chorbhauli gate on Mondays. |
