The Monsoon Season in the Buffer Zone is currently open (from July 1st to September 30th). Reservations for both Core and Buffer Zones will be accepted starting from October 1st. You can now book your seats and accommodation in advance to secure your spot!

Nature's Unique Experience

Most people often like to visit the sea, beaches, mountains, or wildlife to enjoy vacations and spend time with their family or friends. The greenery of dense forests and the peaceful valleys of nature attract man towards themselves. Madhya Pradesh is one of those areas of India which has the greatest number of national parks. One of the important and famous parks among them is Pench National Park, which is spread across both the states of Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. Pench National Park was announced a natural life haven in 1983 and was given the status of a Tiger Save in 1992. Spread over a vast area of approximately 411 square kilometers, this forest is located in Seoni and Chhindwara districts. Its total protected area is 1179 square kilometers which gives it a special identity.

This Park has moreover been the motivation source of Rudyard Kipling's celebrated story “The Jungle Book”. This forest is also called Mowgli Land because many stories related to the story of Mowgli are popular here. This is a place which gives a unique experience and is like a heaven for nature lovers and wildlife photography enthusiasts.

Flora and Fauna

This Park is not only an important part of the forest life of India but is also famous for its amazing natural beauty. During monsoon, it receives good rainfall, the effect of which is visible on the greenery of the place. This forest is full of trees like Sal, Ain, Saja, Arjun, Bija, Tendu, Palash. Here you can see animals like Barking Deer, Hyena, Porcupine, Cheeta, Nilgai, Sambhar, Jungle Cat, Fox, and Wild Pig. Royal Bengal Tiger is the biggest attraction here, which can be seen mostly in the core region. If you are fortunate, you can moreover spot panther here. In the dense forests of Pench, not only animals of the jungle but also many special bird species can be seen, like Coots, Brahmini Duck, Bar-headed Geese, Grey-headed Fishing Eagle, Malabar Pied Hornbill, etc.

In total, 300+ animal species, 30+ reptile species and 50+ fish species can be found here. This is going to be a unique experience for the nature lovers and wildlife lovers who come here.

There are at slightest 94 private jeeps at Turia area and each jeep can situate 6 grown-ups and 2 children. Tourists can book jungle safari through the site which is on first come first serve basis. Day permits are issued instantly during monsoon days. During the Jeep Safari ride, you can see wild animals in their natural environment. WINTER
November - February
During Winter Season.

The winter season is considered the best for travelling as the temperature ranges from 10℃ to 28℃. Sometimes it can drop to 5℃. The cold and peaceful season is the best time to see the natural beauty and animals of this park. Undoubtedly, this is the ideal season to have fun with your loved ones and enjoy the nature's true giftings.

SUMMER
March-June
During Summer Season.

The summer has been rising from March and it reaches the peak in June month. In this season, the temperature can reach from 28℃ to 45℃, which can be difficult for traveling. The journey here can be pleasant if you carry light clothes, glasses, and water bottles with you.

MONSOON
July - September
During Monsoon Season.

The temperature during the rainy months ranges from 23°C to 34°C. Continuous rains and damp road conditions can pose challenges for travellers. For this reason, it is not advisable to visit Pench National Park during monsoon. It may lead to slippery roads, paths, and ways that cause high chances of unexpected accidents.

Important information for Jeep Safari

Safari fees covers permit, vehicle and guide charges.
If you prefer to hire experienced professional guides or drivers, you may do so by paying an additional fee to the forest department, in accordance with their regulations.
Routes are fixed and cannot be change for any visitors.
In case of any unexpected situation (fire, flood, etc.), the scheduled safari can be changed on the concerned authority’s (Maharashtra/Madhya Pradesh Forest Department) orders.
Any safari zone can be given as per subject to availability.
Guides and vehicles are assigned by the forest department.
Afternoon safari on the Madhya Pradesh side of Pench remains closed every Wednesday. Safaris are not conducted on the days of Holi and Diwali. On the Maharashtra side, the Khursapur gate is closed on Tuesdays, the Sillari gate on Wednesdays, and the Chorbhauli gate on Mondays.

Only passport is acceptable for foreigner tourist.
Maximum 6 persons & 2 child are allowed in Jeep.
Visitors can choose Maharashtra/Madhya Pradesh for safari booking, just click on the state name.
Safari confirmations will be sent via email to the registered email id.
Carry original id cards and hard copy of safari confirmation for entry.
