How To Reach Pench

Pench National Park is situated in the southern region of Madhya Pradesh and the north-western part of Maharashtra. There are three main gates to enter into the park named Jamtara, Karmajhiri and Turia. If you are planning to visit Pench National Park, then you have the options to come via Air, rail and road transport. 

 

By Air

As we all know that traveling via Air is the fastest route to reach anywhere. Same goes with the Pench National Park. The nearest airport around the park is Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport which is situated in Nagpur and just 130 km far from the main destination. This is an international airport and people from all over the world has connected with this airport.

Another airport option is Jabalpur Airport which is 213 km far from Pench National Park. This is useful only for domestic travel. Taxis are easily available from both the airports to Pench, which can drop you directly to the park.

Pench Tiger Reserve is located on the Nagpur-Jabalpur Highway, which can be easily accessed by road. If you come from Jabalpur or Nagpur, you can reach Pench in just 3-4 hours by hiring a private taxi or car.

Nagpur is a major transport hub which is well connected to all the major cities of Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. If you are travelling by bus, Khawasa or Seoni are the nearest bus stops. Buses are available every hour from Nagpur, which makes the journey convenient.

Another route is also via Bhopal, which is located approximately 500 km away from Pench. If you are planning to come by private vehicle, it is better to plan the trip and book the safari through a tour operator. Traveling in forest areas without registered safari jeeps is not safe, so use only authorized safari services.
